Centaflex X coupling types -New original CENTA CF-X

1. Coupling Variants

The CENTAFLEX-X catalog covers multiple build types:

  • X-1 / X-1-S: Compact assemblies for mounting on machine components like flywheels, pulleys, and brake discs.
  • X-2 / X-2-S: Shaft-to-shaft couplings with excellent alignment and minimal axial forces.
  • X-3 / X-3-S: Flywheel mountable designs with SAE J620 or custom adapter plates.
  • X-G / X-G-S: Universal joint shafts for larger radial offsets and customizable lengths.

Each variant is available in both standard (axially fixed) and plug-in (axially free) configurations.

 

2. Performance & Material Data

  • Torque Range: 10 Nm to 1500 Nm (single element), up to 3000 Nm (dual element)
  • Max RPM: Up to 10,000 depending on size
  • Temperature Resistance: Up to +150°C
  • Element Material: High-strength, oil-resistant plastic with embedded steel bushes

The element is designed for torsional stiffness, yet allows bending elasticity in axial and angular directions. No axial reaction forces are transmitted to shafts or bearings.

 

3. Dimensional Overview & Mounting

  • Sizes Available: 1 to 90
  • Designs with removable intermediate pieces: Suitable for centrifugal pump drives (DIN 740, BS5257, ISO 3661)
  • Misalignment Compensation:
    • Angular: up to 1° at 1500 rpm
    • Axial: several mm (X-S types)
    • Radial: Limited; use X-G types for misaligned systems

The catalog provides precise tables with:

  • Mounting dimensions (d1–d4, L1–L6)
  • Bore sizes, screw sizes, and torque ratings
  • Diagrams for offset calculation

When to Choose CENTAFLEX-X Couplings

Ideal for systems where:
