CENTAMAX 4000

CENTAMAX 4000 Coupling Elements – OEM NR & Silicone (SC & SCE Types)

The CENTAMAX 4000 is a torsionally flexible coupling element developed by CENTA Germany for marine generators, diesel gensets, and heavy-duty industrial machinery. With a nominal torque range of 4,000–6,000 Nm and peak loads up to 12,500 Nm, it is a proven OEM solution where vibration damping and long service life are critical.

Fitment Types

  • Type SC (NR or Silicone): Standard OEM design with plain bolt-through holes, widely used in marine gensets, power units, and construction equipment.
  • Type SCE (NR): Alternative OEM design with threaded holes, where bolts screw directly into the element. Used in compact or specific OEM layouts.

Both SC and SCE provide identical torque and damping values, with fitment chosen by the engine or generator manufacturer.

NR vs. Silicone Options

  • Natural Rubber (NR, black): Available in Shore 50, 60, 70, 72, 75, designed for most marine and industrial applications.
  • Silicone (Si, yellow): Available in Shore 50, 60, engineered for high-temperature duty in asphalt pavers, drilling rigs, crushers, and enclosed gensets. Silicone resists heat, oil, and ozone while maintaining flexibility at –45 °C to +120 °C.
